All core courses must be passed with a grade of "C" or better.  A grade of "D" is only acceptable for technical, laboratory and general complementaries.

Laboratory complementaries are normally taken in conjunction with a Technical Complementary.

Technical Complementaries are selected from the list of 400-level courses of the Department of Electrical Engineering.  The
courses ECSE 426, Microprocessor Systems, ECSE 431, Electronic Design & ECSE 435, Mixed Signal Test Techniques, can be taken as a Technical Complementary or a Lab Complementary.

General Complementary requirements consist of 3 credits from a special list dealing with technology and society and 6 credits from a special list of social sciences, humanities and administrative studies  (see Section 3.4, Page 239 of University Calendar).

A grade of "C" is required for a ECSE xxx core course in order to proceed with its follow-on ECSE xxx courses.

A grade of "C" is required for a MATH xxx course in order to proceed with its follow-on MATH xxx courses.
