Al-Farouq (translation below)

               Al-Farouq

IF
Umar is back
In our midst
His compassion
May be missed
His words
Would, probably, lag his fist
For justice
Has become a hollow word
And people's cries
Are never heard

Should he not act? Should he not act?

IF
Umar returns
After all these years
Sees us: Muslims of these days
Knows the evil we condone
Witnesses the tyranny of our ways

He'd take up arms!  He'd take up arms!

IF
Umar comes to our time
He'd cry a cry that crosses time
"Muhamad, help, peace be on you
"Let's fight and die for what is true
"I am but a stranger in this land
"It's dark
"And I can't find my way"

IF Umar returns
After all these years
To these disgraceful times we live
History would just repeat itself
We'll stab him as he starts to pray
We'll stab him - cheaply - from behind

And he'll die, saddened by the way he died
