My research and teaching activities are in the general area of electric power systems operations and planning. More specifically, I work at formulating the theoretical background behind the operation and planning principles of low carbon grids. The primordial enabler for highly reliable power systems which get most of their energy out of low carbon resources is flexibility. Hence, my research involves primarily the study of flexibility, its management and valuation as well as the business of flexibility trade and investment.
