Welcome to the MBE Group at McGill

Our group is focused on the investigation of compound semiconductor nanostructures and their applications in nanoelectronic and nanophotonic devices and systems. Our primary research areas include: Epitaxial growth and fundamental properties of semiconductor nanostructures, such as quantum dots, nanowires, and nanotubes; III-nitride materials and devices; Light emitting diodes, lasers, solar cells, and solar fuels; Quantum dot micro and nanotube photonics and Si photonics; DNA sensors; And nanowire transistors and thermoelectric devices.

For more information, please see the links to Research, Publications, and Group Members. We are also part of the Nanoelectronic Devices and Materials Group at McGill University.

We have opening positions for undergraduate and graduate students in nanomaterials, (opto)electronics, and electrochemistry on an ongoing basis. Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in our work.

Other opportunities: Semiconductor research technician position at Univ. of Waterloo (http://g2n.uwaterloo.ca/about/employment/).
